Effective April 2026
Tweedr is a small, independent social platform. We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. This policy explains plainly what data we collect, why, and how you can remove it.
When you create an account and use Tweedr, we store:
We do not sell or share your personal data. Tweedr may display paid advertising in the future. Businesses and brands can apply to advertise on Tweedr; all ads are reviewed and approved by the Tweedr team before appearing on the platform. Users cannot post their own unsolicited ads. Tweedr does not use third-party ad networks. If paid advertising is introduced, this policy will be updated to describe exactly how it works. We do not use cookies beyond what is required for login sessions.
Your data is used primarily to provide the Tweedr service — displaying your profile, showing your posts to followers, delivering messages, and generating your badge achievements. Any future advertising on Tweedr will be hand-selected by the Tweedr team and will not involve profiling, behavioural tracking, or sharing your data with advertisers.
When you search for or attach a GIF, your search query is sent to GIPHY's API. GIPHY has its own privacy policy that applies to that interaction. Tweedr does not store GIF search queries.
All data is stored in a secured database on Railway's infrastructure, hosted in the United States. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (industry standard). Authentication tokens expire after 30 days.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all your data is permanently removed from our database immediately.
Tweedr is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will remove it promptly.
If we make significant changes to this policy, we will note the updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of Tweedr constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
